Thirty years ago, a book titled ‘The 5 Love Languages’ introduced its titular concept to society — and since then, it’s become part of the cultural lexicon. The idea is that everyone has a preferred way of expressing and receiving love, and it falls into one of five categories or “languages”: gift giving and receiving, words of affirmation, physical touch, acts of service, and quality time. Knowing your love language can act as a road map in understanding yourself and your relationships.
