Lung Screening Program: What to expect

Dr. Ashley Prosper, a cardio-thoracic radiologist with UCLA Health, shares information on the UCLA Health Lung Screening Program, including how the process works and what patients can expect when they visit. Low dose CT screening is recommended for patients who are at least 50 years old and have at least a 20 pack-year history of smoking. Low dose CT screening reduces death rates from lung cancer, and early detection usually means that there are more treatment options.
