In a nutshell:

Step 1 – Improve your sitting posture.

Second, keep your shoulders straight and squared, your head upright, and your neck, back, and heels aligned. Your back must be aligned with the back of the chair to avoid slouching or leaning forward. Adjust your position until your weight is centered on each palm. 3.

When sitting, keep your feet flat on the floor. Your feet should be facing forward and flat on the floor. If buying an ergonomic chair is not an option, use a small pillow to support your lumbar. If you can`t angle the monitor accordingly, adjust your chair up or down.

When adjusting your chair, make sure your arms are flexed and not straight out. A way to remedy this is to use lumbar support for the curve of the back. 7. Have standing breaks when sitting for long periods.

Maintaining a perfect posture while sitting is one thing. If you`re sitting for long periods, walk around the room or get out of the car for a few minutes. In addition to sitting, correcting your posture when standing and walking are also just as crucial. Step 2 – Improve your standing and walking posture Now, position your feet about shoulder-width apart and imagine a string holding you up.

So, stand up straight and shift your weight forward a bit. Walk like you`re balancing a book on your head. Walk around while maintaining a good posture. Maintain your head up, shoulders back, chest out, and eyes looking straight ahead while you walk.

Avoid pushing your head forward. 4. Use supportive footwear whether you`re standing or walking. Good posture starts with your feet.

A perfect posture doesn`t just apply to sitting, standing, and walking. Good sleeping posture is also important for your back. Step 3 – Observe good posture while sleeping. 1.

Use pillows to support your back when sleeping. For example, when sleeping on your stomach, put a flat pillow under your stomach and use either a flat pillow or none at all for your head. When sleeping on your back, put a small pillow behind your knees and use a supportive pillow for your head.
