The Office of Information Technology (OIT) hosts a presentation series of monthly technical topics, which include a broad range of technology applications, products, innovative service tactics and much more. You will hear from OIT staff, multiple CMS components, and CMS contractors. Below you will find the descriptions for the November Technical Topic session:
Radiant Logic: We will discuss the CMS Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Modernization. LDAP is an essential service that many applications and people at CMS use every day. Join the conference to understand our current position and learn about upcoming improvements.
Enterprise Architecture: The CMS System Census is a survey of all of CMS’ business applications. This broad survey asks for information about several different aspects of each system. The survey data provides business context and baseline information to help plan CMS’ most critical initiatives and to respond to 100+ data calls annually. Join us for update on our efforts to make the collection of this body of data more streamlined and efficient.
Data/Application Programming Interface (API) Summit Recap: We held the second annual CMS Data Management and API Summit on October 15th and October 16th . This gathering of the CMS data collaboration community is a grass roots effort to help foster a sense of community, identify work products that may be used by others and suggest topics for further action. Join us to hear about the challenges, strategies and best practices Data and API teams used to reorganize our Beneficiary, Provider, Claims, Quality, Marketplace and Medicaid data and ourselves and how we developed an enterprise approach to APIs to take advantage of maturing enterprise data architectures.
