In this episode of the UCLA BrainSPORT Podcast, Adel discusses highly impactful topics on Cannabis with Maddie Katz Professor, Vice-Chair of Clinical Affairs in the UCLA Department of Psychiatry, and former Medical Director of the UCLA Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Dr. Thomas Strouse. The two discuss the different potential indications for Cannabis use ranging from pain to mental health disorders and brain injury. They talk about the opioid sparing potential and also cover the adverse effects of Cannabis. They conclude with the state of research of Cannabis, and its current Schedule 1 designation.
